For future refrences, army pt does not properly prepare you for an apft ( pt test). It does help a bit, but my sergeants said to exercise on our own also
you wanna prepare your body for basic training?. Do the insanity home workout.. trust me guys it works, pair it with running on your off days and you will be a fuckin PT stud.

dont go to the gym to prepare? Just because they don't use gym equipment at basic doesnt mean you shouldn't utilize it while still a civilian. Get in shape by any means necessary!

How long do you have to do the planks?
Can you show me the PRT guidebook with all of the excercises in it because I havent seen any of those. Bootcamp consisted of nothing but PRT.

Your 'toe touches' are not correct. The exercise is the 'knee bender', a four count exercise where you reach to the top of your socks (half way down the side of your calf).

My dad would make us do military exercises as a punishment he'd make us do it for like half an hour from ages 6-9 this was my worse nightmare
Edit: my favorite was the mountain climber it was a joke because it was actually fun (as long as you didn't have an ex-military 35 year old man screaming at you for everthing you've ever done)
