the Northern Shenandoah Valley is an
area rich with historic significance and natural beauty home to nature trails and
an abundance of recreational activities such as hiking canoeing skiing and camping
Shenandoah University thrives in this natural and historic setting educating
and equipping students as responsible members of the local and global
community main campus located in Winchester Virginia at the junction of
u.s. interstate 81 and highway 50 serves as Shenandoah’s central hub with academic
buildings and administration offices as well as athletic and residential
facilities the Harry F Byrd Jr School of Business and Halpin-Harrison Hall and
Shenandoah Conservatory and Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre Ruebush Hall and Armstrong Hall
also reside on main campus the College of Arts and Sciences holds classes in
Gregory Hall Henkel Hall and the Health & Life Sciences Building, which
features biology and chemistry laboratory spaces as well as an
on-campus home for the university’s nursing athletic training and
respiratory care programs you can also find the Alson H Smith Library Brandt
Student Center Aikens Athletic Center Goodson Chapel Allen Dining Hall and
several residential halls on main campus including the first two buildings in the
village Caruthers House and Roni’s Roost, an
application-only apartment-style community designed for upper-class
students Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium hosts
many of our sporting events along with Shingleton Hall and its gymnasium the
university is also constructing a new 77,000-square-foot athletics and Events
Center next to Shentel Stadium President Tracy Fitzsimmons and the

Building the Health Professions Building on the campus of the Winchester Medical
Center provides a home for the Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy and the
occupational therapy physician assistant studies and physical therapy programs the
university also provides child care services for students faculty and staff
members near main campus on route 7 outside of Winchester Virginia the
northern virginia campus at Scholar Plaza located adjacent to Inova Loudoun Hospital
and the Inova Center for Personalized Health in Fairfax provide convenient
opportunities for students closer to the Washington DC metro area the Shenandoah
River Campus at Cool Spring Battlefield offers 195 acres of land for classes in
history and environmental studies located at the site of a Civil War
battlefield on the Shenandoah River off route 7 this living laboratory
